Lectures

Mondays & Wednesdays, 12:30-1:45 PM in Campbell Hall

  • Take notes during lecture

Discussion Sections

AI-based activities to connect with peers

  • Complete and submit the assigned activity by the end of section
  • Your top 3 (of 5) activities count for 15% of your grade
  • Attendance and participation are mandatory for credit

Lecture Quizzes

Released Wednesdays, due before next Monday's lecture

  • Based on previous week's material
  • One chance to answer questions
  • 40-50 correct answers needed for full credit (10% of grade)

Review Sessions

Fridays, 1:00-1:50 PM and 2:00-2:50 PM in North Hall 1110

  • Focus on lengthy, difficult word problems
  • Not mandatory but helpful for deeper understanding
  • Led by teaching assistants

Course Resources

TopHat Subscription (Required)

The only item you are required to purchase is a TopHat.com subscription. The quizzes will be run through TopHat and the platform will enhance lectures, since questions posed to the class can be "texted-in" through the app. All announcements and relevant information will be posted on TopHat (and Canvas).

To enroll in the class TopHat page:
  • Go to www.tophat.com
  • Navigate to the course Canvas page
  • Clink the "Top Hat" link and it will direct you to the Top Hat course page
  • Be sure to use your school email and correct ID number so we can accurately identify you!
  • If you click "Next" enough, the price should only be $25 for a 4-month subscription
